It proved, I guess, he still didn’t trust America. And I was right, because the truth came out. So when she got home and Maxon asked her to marry him, I knew it wouldn’t happen. But I was still mad at America because she still had Maxon fooled. My heart really broke because of her father’s death. I never thought the king would let her go, but he did. I think the whole thing with America’s family afterwards is great. You know what I mean? I think it is still unfair he dies, but whatever. I was so happy he ‘just’ died, and wasn’t killed by the king or the rebels. Queen Amberly sure had some influence on that.Īfter some fights, kisses and words, Maxon comes to visit America. Kriss, America, Celeste and Elise finally seem to get along. I think Kiera Cass did a great job in the development in the relationship between the girls. Just because I had some trouble getting through it, doesn’t mean it wasn’t good/exciting 😉 Not sure, maybe it was because in my privet life there were some stuff happening that made it impossible for me to concentrate on the book. I guess after reading a quarter of the book, I got addicted to the story as I usually do to Kiera Cass’ books. I had some difficulties getting through the first few chapters. The beginning of the book was a bit slow. He has a good heart, he just has a way of screwing things up. He did some good stuff, especially towards the ending of the book. Kiera Cass really created a lovable Queen, as opposed to the king of course. She’s kind, she’s honest and she has a way of talking to America, letter her know that’s she’s right and she’s strong enough to be a queen herself someday. May I just say that Queen Amberly is the sweetest person EVER? I liked her in the first book, I adored her in the second book and found myself loving her in the third and last book. It’s a bit vague though, but in some way that’s okay.

I mean: who would’ve thought there was more to the story than Maxon and America thought? Yeah, okay, I did. They make the story 1) more exciting, 2) more fun and 3) way deeper. I think that the rebels and all their secrets are perfect. America finally realized she had to fight for her future with Maxon. I was really curious to where The One would pick up, but it actually started off at the right moment. Let me just start by saying that the end of The Elite was breath taking and incredibly exciting. Whatever, not important, let me just start with my review. I was SO excited for this book, adding the fact that I had to wait for the book for a short period of time, I almost broke into my local bookstore to pick up my ordered copy. Spoilers: As usual there are some spoilers, though I won’t spoil the ending.
